Professionally re-spined, with the old laid down, gilt titles. Internally, additional engraved title page with hand coloured vignette, frontis, [3], (iv) only, [3], 4-101 pp, [1], [2] adverts, 12 pls (all hand coloured steel engravings), + 1 eng tp with vignette, plates dated 1853, a.e.g., some spotting to guards only, modern endpapers. The Figures are represented in their National Costumes, and an interesting Tale by a popular Author accompanies each Illustration. Dances include: The Maypole; The Highland Fling; The Irish Jig; The Spanish Fandango; Mexican Jarabe Dance; Chinese Sun & Moon Dance; The Hindostanee Shawl Dance and much more. (276*212 mm).
