This 3-Act play premiered on the London Stage in early 1940 with Celia Johnson (as the second Mrs DeWinter) and Margaret Rutherford (as Mrs Danvers) in the leading roles, and played for six months and 350+ performances at the Queen's Theatre in London's West End until the theatre was destroyed during the Blitz in September 1940. This Play is a modern rarity and, at the time of listing, we cannot find another copy offered for sale on the web that has the price present to the inside flap.
