Bound sumptuously in full burgundy calf, spine in six decoratively gilt ruled compartments with central gilt ornaments and gilt lettering. Inner gilt dentelles, marbled endpapers, all edges gilt. Sewn-in silk bookmark. Upper cover bearing circular gilt emblem of The College of Estate Management Founded 1919. Front paste-down end-paper showing very minor signs of the sympathetic removal of what is assumed was where an ownership/presentation label had formerly been affixed. First edition of an important text on the design and construction of concrete bridges. The book went into further editions in the 1950's. Our stock of new books includes independent publishers and local authors, with general, collectable second-hand books, as well. Our older, rare books include collectable miniature books, our specialism.
