First edition of this legal report concerning tithe payments, now rare, with only the University College London copy recorded in institutional holdings. Provenance: The Lawes Agricultural Library, with their stamp to front cover and shelf marks to front pastedown and title page. The library was assembled in the early 20th century by Sir John Russell, director of the Rothamsted agricultural research institution in Hertfordshire, and ranked as one of the finest English collections of agricultural material. Octavo (209 x 135 mm). Twentieth-century brown quarter morocco by Chivers, spine lettered in gilt, brown patterned cloth sides, patterned endpapers. Spine lightly rubbed, contents a little toned with a few light foxing marks, pages lightly creased at head, tape repair to pp. 71-83 with paper repair with slight loss to text to pp. 83-84. A good copy.
