48 pages with a few illustrations, this is sadly a reading copy only of this work by Rye historian Leopold Amon Vidler ('The Watchman'). Some fine historical information is nicely presented in this booklet, such as 'The Hospital of St Bartholomew', 'A Forgotten Worthy', 'Coins and Tokens', and 'Mayors and Vicars'. Front cover marked and soiled, creased and worn; inside rear cover and the first page (reverse of frontispiece) marked or foxed; booklet thumb-marked at bottom corner almost throughout, and a little so at top corner; internal text pages for the most part clean though some are marked or foxed; last few pages are creased at bottom corner; final text page marked; inside rear cover creased; rear cover has same crease and is also marked and soiled. As said, a reading or reference copy only.
