8vo, (1) - 183, with fold-out, original, monochrome watercolor study by Laning's wife, Primrose, tipped-in at fly, of a corner of the couple's London garden (a colored version of which was used for the dustjacket. Laning (1912-1983), American-born landscape architect and garden designer, came to Europe in WWII. He maried Primrose Harley (1908-1978) in 1952, and they firts resided at Park House on Onslwo Square, with a garden of more than hlaf an acre -for him - and the house a very large artist's studio - for her. There's a small triangular pierce missing center of rear panel of price clipped dustjacket, else near fine. Seller Inventory # 013836
