Laning (1912-1983), American-born la…ndscape architect and garden designer, came to Europe in WWII. He maried Primrose Harley (1908-1978) in 1952, and they firts resided at Park House on Onslwo Square, with a garden of more than hlaf an acre -for him - and the house a very large artist's studio - for her.
