A smartly bound first edition of this Biblical atlas with commentary on the lands referred to in scripture. First edition. With twenty-four colour maps forming a Biblical Atlas, and numerous in-text wood-cuts. Collated complete. A series of descriptions of the lands referred to in scripture, with historical, geographical, and topographical commentaries. Includes places such as Mount Ararat, Mesopotamia, Egypt, Canaan, Palestine in the Time of Christ, and more. Written by John Kitto, an English biblical scholar. In the original full calf binding. Externally, smart with light rubbing to the extremities and fading to the spine. The odd small mark to the boards. Front hinge just starting but firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean. Light age toning and some spotting to the first and last few pages. Contemporary ink inscription to the front endpaper. Very Good. Seller Inventory # 924T38
