First UK Edition. Publisher's green boards with gilt lettering to the spine. Grey end-papers. A VG+ copy in like dustwrapper with minor rubbing to corners/ tips of spine, slight raising of the laminate along the rear gutter of the spine but not cracked or pierced, just "air bubbles". A fresh-looking copy overall without any fading to the spine. N.B: basis for the 1972 British horror film of the same name (also known as The Exorcism of Hugh) directed by Fred Burnley, and starring Susan Hampshire, Frank Finlay, Michael Petrovitch and Michael Craze.
