xxvii, 228 pp. Green cloth with blind-stamped lettering and gilt lettering to spine in a brown slipcase. Illustrated with 11 colour plates of oil paintings by Jack B. Yeats, printed to retain the colour and texture of the paintings as far as possible. The poems are selected from collections of Yeat's verse originally published between 1889 and 1939, with an introduction he wrote in 1937 for a complete collection of his work that was never produced. The unusual square format allows paintings to be given more space, larger margins and lines of verse to be unbroken. As this is shrink-wrapped, we have not determined which printing this is, but there were three printings in total: in 1998, 1999 and 2015. Square 8vo. Illustrated. Seller Inventory # 71495
