Hard Cover. Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. Folio Society edition in slipcase from 1965. Smells a bit of being kept in a cupboard or similar, though this should fade. Brown paper covering on slipcase has been partly pulled away (possibly was stuck to something and damages when separated), also some scuffing to corners. Slight discolouration to white vellum spine, but gilt titles thereon are still bright, but otherwise a good clean tight copy of this hard-cover book. Originally published in Spanish in 1567, this is a translation by Ernle Bradford of the second, improved edition from 1568. An account of the Great Siege of Malta of May to September 1565 by the author, who served as an arquebusier in the Spanish Corps. 189pp, 8 b&w illustrations. Size: 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
