The pages remain clean apart from one or two spots to the page edges. Free from inscriptions and erasures. The WRAPPER is complete and is in Very Good++ condition. It is the correct First Issue. Mild edge-wear with a little loss a the spine ends. Mild toning to the spine and the flap edges. Closed tears to the lower front edge and at the folds. Mild toning and spotting to the rear cover. The C. Walter Hodges wrapper artwork ( reproduced as the colour frontispiece ) looks very striking in the removable Brodart archival cover.
