Full calf, 9 inches tall. A most handsome full Georgian mottled calf with gilt raised bands, elegant gilt centre tools and label. Yellow edges. The same year as the first edition, of which this is a reissue. Very popular throughout Europe, this is a very early copy of the English translation in a good looking binding of the period.

This picturesque seventeenth century building is on the seafront at Deal, famous for its literary associations and seafaring history. We are open by appointment.
