15 x 21cm. Oblong paperback, 10pp with frontispiece showing mill founders Robert Hyde Greg and Henry Philips Greg, and, at rear, a double-sided plate with a woodcut of the mill by the artist Barbara Greg, and a black and white photograph of some fancy yarn fabric. Published June 1957. Page edges rough cut. The artist Barbara Greg (wife of Norman Janes) was the great-granddaughter of one of the founders of the mill, which became part of a family business empire. Greg studied at the Slade School of Fine Art, Westminster School of Art, and the Central School of Art where she took wood engraving classes. Her grandfather possessed a large collection of works by Thomas Bewick. Extremely rare ephemeral item, constituting a history of the Greg family business venture into yarn, fabric, weaving, etc. and its activities within the British textile industry. Not found in OCLC or Copac. Slight wear to yapp covers, otherwise internally very good.
