First edition. Octavo. Publisher's green cloth, lettered gilt, in the original printed dustwrapper. A very good copy in a very good dustwrapper. Some spotting to the dustwrapper, a couple of short closed tears and a little toned to the spine. Neat ownership inscription to front free endpaper. Contains Tolkien's lecture 'On Fairy Stories' and his story "Leaf By Niggle".
