About this Item

A first edition, first printing published by The Cresset Press in 1957. A fine book without inscriptions - some light off-setting to the endpapers. In a fine neatly clipped wrapper. No fading or browning to the spine as is usual. Simply put, the best copy we have seen. The author's second book and notably filmed in 1999 starring Gwyneth Paltrow, Matt Damon and Jude Law. An excellent title to possess and very scarce.
