Engraved portrait frontispiece and numerous additional illustrations, comprising full-page plates and illustrations in the letterpress. Fading to cloth, more so to spine, which is also a bit rubbed at tail, some trivial light spotting to a few leaves, generally a very good copy. "The Three Presidencies of India" provides a comprehensive account of the rise, progress, and administrative structure of British colonial power across the three major administrative subdivisions of British India: the Bengal, Madras, and Bombay Presidencies. It's author, John Capper, had extensive experience in the Indian colonial press.
