A first edition, first printing of Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy by John Le Carre, published by Hodder and Stoughton, London in 1974. A near fine book free from internal inscriptions, in publisher's original black cloth bound boards with gilt lettering and George Smiley graphic to spine and Smiley graphic similarly to front board, boards a little rub-worn, slight pushing to the head and foot of the spine, crimson top stain to text block and mild browning to remainder of text block. The near fine price-clipped wrapper with bumping to the spine tips, chipping to the upper knuckles of front and rear flap folds and slight browning to the front and rear flap folds.
