VG, 1st ed, 1821, a subscribers copy? In modern quarter calf over cloth. Spine, blind tooling, gilt titles to red calf label. Internally, [9], 10-189 pp, [1], (ii-xxiii), ink name tp head (Edward Carreg - on the subscribers list), new endpapers. (218*124 mm). (Anderson 345). Williams, Church of England clergyman and writer, whose interests were mainly literary, contributed to contemporary journals and patronized promising young writers. Although he was an assiduous copier of the works of medieval poets and a collector of historical minutiae, he can hardly be described as a competent antiquarian. See ODNB for a full Bio.
