First edition, first printing. Published by Herbert Jenkins in London, 1948. This is a very good copy. The dust wrapper, bright and clean, is finely illustrated. It has not been price clipped. - showing 8'6 as called for. There are some small, concealed repairs to the wrapper at the spine tips and corners. The spine is unfaded. The rear panel has a neat closed tear. The text blocks are slightly toned and lightly foxed. This copy has a previous ownership stamp, and is, overall, in very good condition. No housed in a custom-made slipcase.
