Contains Orwell's essay 'Culture and Democracy', based on a lecture he gave to the Fabian Society, 22 November 1941. Orwell noted "[The text] is transcribed from shorthand notes of a lecture and grossly altered without my knowledge". Very Good Plus book in Very Good jacket which is browned to the spine and has a closed tear at the top of the front panel. [Fenwick B17].
