The book also includes a special section on the freight operations of the Detroit United Railway, a look at trolley and interurban lines in Windsor (Canada), the Sandwich, Windsor & Amherstburg Railway and the Windsor, Essex and Lake Shore Railway. The book ends with a review of nearly 20 small and little-known industrial railroads in the Detroit area with discussions of the equipment they used.
