Two parts in one binding. Third Edition. Printed for Wm. Brown, Corner of Essex Street, Strand, London 1789. 4to. VIII+352+(2)+316 pages. Pp 287/288 with a closed tear. Illustrated with 8 full page plates + one large foldable plate [View of Montserrat; restored along a closed tear + 3 pages of sheet music [two of them printed on a foldable leaf} [complete]. Bound in a contemporary red half morocco binding, with a bit of edgewear. Printed on good paper. Armourial bookplate. * The first edition was printed in 1777, but as the French revolution and the Napoleonic Wars closed the country for English travellers, this last edition soon became as close as you could get France without risking your life.
