First edition, 4to, x, [2], 120 pp., 110 engraved plates on 55 sheets showing 587 figures, as usual with this book the plates have browning and spotting, interleaved with blank paper, ex-library copy with blind-stamps, later green buckram. One of the most popular seamanship manuals of the early nineteenth century as well as one of the most profusely illustrated maritime books of the period.
