First edition; 4to, 59 pp., inscribed by the author on title, dedication leaf, 30 mounted photographic illustrations after drawings by the author, folding plan, double-page letterpress table, original roan, titled in gilt on upper cover, neatly rebacked to match, all edges gilt, a very good copy. Rare. Estridge was collector of taxes in the British colonial administration in the early 1880's, serving as Collector of Customs at Mahé in the Seychelles.
