Aan de hand van brieven die hij naar zijn familie stuurde en van persoonlijke herinneringen schildert hij het leven van een gedeporteerde: het gemis, de angst, de kleine lichtpunten van menselijkheid en het vernietigende geweld van oorlogshandelingen - ook in steden als Magdeburg die onverzettelijk gebombardeerd werden. The shipping costs as stated on Abebooks are based on parcels that weigh less than 2 kilos (book and packaging material) or less than 1 kilo for shipments to some distant countries like New-Zealand, Australia, Japan, .... If the parcel exceeds this weight, an increase in the shipping cost can be proposed. The buyer always has the chance to refuse the extra shipping costs.
