Large uncoloured engraved chart (68 x 148 cm) of the British Channel showing the Channel Islands, parts of southern England, northern France, Ireland, and Flanders. With additional inset maps of Baltimore Harbour, Falmouth, Portland, The Isle of Wight, Mounts Bay, Mevagizey Bay, and The Downs. Embellished with decorative cartouche and numerous compass roses. Folded once horizontally and four times vertically. Poor condition. Considerable browning and toning, large splits along map folds (sometimes with loss), frayed along margins etc.
