Pictorial map, not dated but from the 1930's, 40cm x 43cm. Lithograph printed. With foldlines and information on Manila and the Manila Hotel to the verso. A very attractive, colourful and accomplished map. In Near Fine condition.

Ruth Taylor White (1896-1971) was an American illustrator best known for her vibrant pictorial maps of the 1920's and 1930's. Most of her output was focused on the domestic USA, but here she mapped a US colony. Her style is considered whimsical and charming and she is celebrated today as one of the leading pictorial mapmakers of the early 20th century.
