Venice, 1689. 615 x 460mm. A fine example of this Venetian sea chart of the Britanny coasts with an inset of the defences of Brest. It is decorated with ornate cartouches for the title, dedication and key, vignette galleons and sea monster, two full compass roses and two halves, and the French Royal Arms.
