About this Item

62 x 81 cm. (overall 71 x 86 cm). Original hand-coloured folding map of London shows extents from Holloway in the North to Lambeth in the South and from Brook Green in the West to the Docks in the East. The map folds into original green cloth boards (14 x 9.5 cms) with yellow publisher's printed title label to upper cover, and the Index (stating".upwards of two thousand places.", pp.30+[5, ads]) pasted into inside front cover. One section of map where pasted into covers slightly browned, a few minor tears Rare, not in the usual bibliographies, although we have had a similarly titled map, again not listed, for 1851. Not in Hyde or Howegego.
