Add to basket17 x 13 inches, lithograph with recent hand colour. Plate 5. George Barnard was a Professor of Drawing at Rugby School. He is best known for works on landscape drawing and painting. 'A New Work Consisting of Studies of Trees from Nature' was published in 1868. The trees are depicted in British and continental European settings. Examples include Interlaken, Zermatt which depicts the Matterhorn in the background, Fontainbleau and others along the coast of Genoa. A very rare work. Not listed in any of the main references.
