About this Item

First Edition. Contemporary half leather binding with gilt decoration and titles to the spine. The boards are significantly rubbed, and the gilt to the spine dulled, but still attractive and original. The "Elegant sheet map" of Scotland is present, but a quarter of it (North East) is missing, and there are a couple of closed tears to the rest of the sheet. The book itself is complete and in sound shape, but has moderate foxing / darkening throughout. XXviii, 676 pages + map. includes Errata. 210 by 130mm (8� by 5 inches).
