Original highly detailed and decorative map of the Channel Islands (75 x 101 cm) with an inset engraved view of Castle Cornet, sectionalised and laid onto linen, two panels of verso backed with marbled paper, housed in a contemporary green cloth slipcase with publisher's printed label to the upper cover inscribed with manuscript ink title. Some light toning and soiling, lacking the right-hand section which shows Sark although this section appears to have been printed from a separate plate (the plate mark along the right margin being clearly visible on this copy), generally a very attractive example. A scarce map with OCLC returning just 3 copies all in European institutions. Seller Inventory # 61705
