About MintFirsts Ltd ABA, ILAB, PBFA
Established in 2004 and originally based at Victoria Mill in Manchester, MintFirsts is now operated from near Athens International Airport. Our bookroom is open by appointment throughout the year. As our name implies, we aspire to offer truly fine copies of collectible editions. Our focus is on 19th and 20th century literature. Beyond this, we venture into anything that is out of the ordinary; be it artistic or scientific, highbrow or popular, mainstream or unorthodox. Most of our books are in English, but we also carry select titles in other European languages.

Terms of sale
MintFirsts Ltd is a company registered in England, with all orders shipped from Greece. We are long-time members of ABA, ILAB and PBFA, fully abide by their codes of practice, and proudly observe the highest professional standards. All items are offered subject to prior sale and remain our property until payment is received in full. Prices are listed in pounds sterling and any information shown in a different currency is for guidance only. All major payment cards are accepted. Customers can also choose to pay by bank transfer in pounds sterling, euros, Hungarian forints, as well as American, Canadian, Australian, New Zealand and Singapore dollars. Other payment methods may be made available upon special request, typically subject to a small service fee. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, please get in touch and we will do our best to resolve the issue.
We exclusively use images of the actual books we stock, all watermarked with our logo. The watermark is added digitally and never appears on the actual book. Its purpose is to deter unauthorized use of our images, particularly by resellers who do not own the items they advertise. Book images are intended to be merely indicative of condition, as definitive details are provided in the description. While we cannot guarantee that items will exactly match the images on display, they generally do. Book covers and slipcases are typically scanned, only with minimal cropping applied. Visual features will therefore reflect reality, but some edge details may be trimmed. Inner pages are photographed to illustrate specific aspects, such as an inscription or the edition, with tonal balance adjusted to enhance presentation. If you are unsure about an item, feel free to message us, and we will gladly share a quick photo or video for added reassurance.
To return an item, we must be notified by e‑mail within 14 days of receipt. The goods have to then be posted at the buyer's expense to the return address on the shipping label, so that the package reaches us within 12 working days. A full refund will be issued upon satisfactory inspection of its contents.
Shipping terms
Orders are usually processed within 2 business days. We always ship via recorded delivery (signed-for). Books are bubble-wrapped and placed in a cardboard box or a cushioned envelope to ensure they reach you in the same condition they leave us. If your order exceeds 2kg (4.4lbs) or includes multiple or oversized items, we may contact you regarding a shipping surcharge. This is uncommon, however, as few of our hardbacks weigh more than a 1kg, and even for multiple items the quoted shipping charge is often final.
