Hand written signed declaration of land transfer, covering the purchase of land in the Kaueranga Block in the Thames goldfields. The purchase was made by Daniel O'Keeffe from Titare Kapapapa 'of the aboriginal native party to the said deed.'. Dated 21st May 1869, signed by O'Keeffe and by a Justice of the Peace in Auckland. 32 x 20 cm. Interesting from the perspective of the start of the Thames gold rush in the 1860s.
