This is one of a number of photographs that Alfred Burton took during a visit to the region in 1885. A very fine, clean evocative image.The photograph is mounted on a card with a border around the image. Te Heuheu T?kino IV, Horonuku was paramount chief of Ng?ti T?wharetoa, and came from the Tokaanu region by Lake Taupo. On the reverse is a Burton photograph of young Maori women in a hot pool at Tokaanu. Seller Inventory # 019711
