[8], 187pp, [1]. Handsomely bound in contemporary richly gilt-tooled mottled calf, contrasting black calf lettering-piece, A.E.G. Lightly rubbed. Marbled endpapers, internally clean and crisp. A collection of the poetical works of Samuel Rogers, including 'The Pleasures of Memory', the discursive poem first printed in 1792 from which he made his name. Upon the death of Wordsworth, Rogers was offered, but declined, the position of Poet Laureate. Size: 12mo. Seller Inventory # AQ27910
