About the Author

Merl�n R. Carothers es capell�n (teniente coronel retirado). Ingres� al ej�rcito en l943 y prest� servicios en la Segunda Guerra Mundial en Francia, Alemania y B�lgica. Perteneci� a la guardia del general Eisenhower despu�s de la guerra. Dado de baja en l945, asisti� a la Universidad Marion (Indiana) y al Seminario Asbury (Kentucky) antes de asumir el pastorado en una iglesia metodista en Clypool, Indiana durante tres a�os. Despu�s de ingresar de nuevo al ej�rcito en l953, el capell�n Carothers prest� servicios en alemania, Corea, Rep�blica Dominicana, Panam� y Vietnam, retir�ndose en l971.

En la actualidad se desempe�a extensamente como consejero y conferenciante.
