About the Author:
Anne Frank and her family fled to Holland from Germany in 1933 to escape the Nazis but when in May 1940 Holland was invaded, the Jews were trapped. In the summer of 1942 the Frank family went into hiding in a secret annexe off her father's office. They were eventually betrayed, arrested and transported to concentration camps where they all died, except for Anne's father. Anne Frank's name has become synonymous with the Holocaust, and the millions killed by a murderous ideology.
