Synopsis
Juego de falsas apariencias y medias verdades que terminan por desvelar una verdad última: Beatus Ille reveló a uno de los jóvenes narradores más rigurosos y mejor dotados de la literatura española contemporánea. La novela cuenta la historia de Minaya, un joven estudiante implicado en las huelgas universitarias españolas de los años 60, que se refugia en un cortijo a orillas del Guadalquivir para escribir una tesis doctoral sobre Jacinto Solana, poeta republicano condenado a muerte al final de la guerra, indultado y muerto en 1947 en un tiroteo con la Guardia Civil. Minaya descubre la huella de un crimen y a la fascinante Mariana, una mujer misteriosa, absorbente, de la que todos se enamoran.
