If you could see inside. [A Parrish Colour Book.]

FIRST EDITION, colour-printed illustrations throughout, pp. 32, 4to, originla illustrated boards backed with white cloth, backstrip lettered in red, spine slightly cocked, the upper board faintly sunned and a modicum of wear at extremities, shaken in its binding, the strings fastening the textblock a little slack (but secure), good. A delightful exploration of the inner workings of various human and animal constructions: coal-mines, pyramids, lighthouses, wasp-nests, chicken eggs, etc. The use of simple images and colour alongside clear verbal description embodies the Isotype principle of visual education - a method of learning developed by the author's husband, Otto Neurath (at first in his native Austria, but then in England, whither the couple came in flight from the Third Reich).
