First edition. Gilt-stamped parchment-backed boards, with two colour design of a feather at corner of upper board. Inscribed by the author to an American editor, critic, and composer, 'Mr. W. Stanton Howard with the regard of G.R. Tomson, June 21st 91'. Spine slightly browned, and rubbed at edges, boards marked at tail, endpapers lightly browned, else a very good copy. The author's scarce, pseudonymously published second book. Despite excellent reviews by Oscar Wilde and others, the book found few readers; only 250 copies were sold before the remaining edition was pulped.
