The First UK Printing published by MacGibbon and Kee in 1965. The BOOK is in Very Good+ condition. Pushing to the spine ends. A very slight lean with mild rubbing to the lower corners. gilt titling remains bright. The usual toning to the text block and page edges. A little light spotting to the end papers. The WRAPPER is complete and is in Very Good condition. Moderate edge-wear with creasing and rubbing in places. Small amount of tape reinforcement at the spine ends on the verso. The red colouring of the spine has faded in places. The wrapper remains attractive in the removable Brodart archival cover. The book has been Signed by David Lodge to the title page.
