A first edition, first printing 'The Chequer Board' published by Heinemann in 1947. A very good book with some spotting to the top edge. Wear to the boards and edges - some fraying. SIGNED and dated September 1947 by the Author to the title page. In a very good unclipped wrapper with a little wear and rubbing and nicks to the edges. Rare signed.
