First Edition. Inscribed by author to front free endpaper. 8vo (19cm). pp 368. Original red pictorial boards designed by Marjorie Murray (credited on titlepage) depicting Helios bringing the day in his horse-drawn chariot; blocked in white, red and black to spine; white areas almost completely rubbed away, bit of rubbing to black lettering but still legible, some marks to covers; top edge a bit dust-soiled, bottom edge untrimmed, some spotting on title and first few leaves, mostly limited to margins; a solid, tight and VG+ copy. To Lloyd - from the author - with the remembrance of a red-letter day among the hills, 1909 .
