A near fine first edition of Jakov Lind"s two autobiographies, both the author"s presentation copy to the publisher Tom Maschler. The first edition of these works. Two autobiographical works by Jakov Lind. In the original unclipped dustwrapper. Author"s presentation copy, inscribed by the author to the recto to the front endpaper of each volume. Tom Maschler"s bookplate to the front pastedowns. Maschler is a publisher who worked for Jonathan Cape, who discovered and published authors including Ian McEwan and Gabriel Garcia Marquez. Both of these works are insightful autobiographies, following the author during his youth. Written by Jakov Lind, an Austrian-British author. In the original publisher"s quarter cloth binding with paper to the boards, in the original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally, near fine, with a small amount of bumping to the head and tail of the spine, and just a couple of marks to the boards. Bookplate to the front pastedown. Author"s inscription to the recto to the front endpaper. Dustwrapper with some minor edgewear, minor sunning to the spine, and a few minor marks. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
