A play in three acts which attacked the American prison system.Presentation copy from the author, inscribed by him on the front free endpaper: ''To T. Brooks Atkinson appreciatively - Martin Flavin 11/27-29''. From 1925 to 1960 Atkinson was the theatre critic for the New York Times. On the rear panel of the dustwrapper is an extract from his enthusiastic review of this play.Fine in good, rubbed and chipped dustwrapper with some loss along the bottom edge.
