Scarce, antique autobiographical writings, journal & letters of American 19th century literary figure Daniel Ricketson (1813-1898), friend of Henry David Thoreau. He was known as a lawyer, philanthropist, poet, author, benefactor and abolitionist. Contains several mentions of Thoreau as well as Ralph Waldo Emerson and Henry Longfellow. Illustrated with photos.
