First UK Edition. INSCRIBED BY THE AUTHOR IN 1915. Publisher's black cloth with red architectural decoration and gilt lettering to the front board and spine. Red top edge. Rough-cut edges. A near fine, bright and attractive copy with corners slightly bumped and with faint foxing to the end-papers in like D/W which is complete but creased and nicked along the edges and darkened to the spine and upper edges. . Inscribed by the Author to the FFEP: "H Ward/ from the Author/ 23.iv. 1915". The D/W is priced 4/6 net to the bottom right hand corner of the back panel. A remarkable survivor. Fantastic short stories. In Bleiler. Rare in D/W. WW! dust wrappers of this vintage are pretty uncommon these days. Photographs/scans available upon request. Seller Inventory # 355490720684
