Finney on Football. As Told to David R. Jack.

First edition, inscribed on the front free endpaper by the footballer, "To John, With best wishes, Tom Finney." This copy comes from the collection of Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts; his posthumous bookplate is on the front pastedown. Finney was Footballer of the Year in 1953-54, which was the period of his only appearance in the FA Cup Final. He won the award again in 1956-57, becoming the first player to win more than once. Octavo. Half-tone frontispiece, 16 half-tone plates. Original red boards, spine lettered in gilt. With dust jacket. Spine ends bumped; jacket unclipped, verso of jacket with several old adhesive tape repairs: a very good copy in good jacket.
